A Zhejiang woman is suing a hospital for S$55,000 following a botched boob job that was apparently performed by a physician specializing in oral surgery.
At the end of last year, the woman, Li Ying, who has been divorced for a few years, went under the knife to get her breasts enlarged at a plastic surgery hospital in Jiaxing city, Zhejiang province.
She hopes that this will result in a more beautiful and confident her and will present her with opportunities to remarry.
However following the operation, liquid and puss started seeping out of her breasts and her nipples began to look as if they were decaying.
She sent a photo on WeChat of her breast to the surgeon who performed the operation, who assured that it was really nothing to worry about and all very normal, asking her to drop by the hospital the next day if she liked.

Fortunately for her, Li Ying went to a Shanghai hospital for a second opinion where doctors quickly determined that she was suffering from serious complications from her breast augmentation surgery, diagnosing her with “necrosis of the breast.”
They subsequently removed the breast implants, and discovered that her breasts had become deformed and her nerves non-responsive.
Li Ying is now taking the hospital to court over the botched boob job, forcing them to release the qualifications of the physicians who participated in the operation, revealing that the leading surgeon who advised Li not to worry was actually an oral surgeon who may not even have a license to practice plastic surgery.
Morale of the story? Always go to a licensed Plastic Surgeon who is qualified to carry out plastic surgery procedures.
